Arwen

Arwen is a 2015 AQHA bay beauty. She’s just starting her career as a grownup and has a lot of work to do. In May 2020 she went off to school for six months of training but came home after only 3 due to a trailer accident. Her right rear hock was cut and she lost a fair amount of hide below.  She’s all better now and ready to return to work. The 2021/22 training season will focus on trust and confidence and getting back into shape!

This picture was taken in September of 2021. Getting ready for the training season. Comparing these pictures to her Yearling pictures, she appears to have only grown up. She never had the ugly awkward stage.

This picture was taken on one of her last days of being “Range Raised”. She came home in November of 2016 at 18 months.

This is her yearling picture, spring of 2016 before she shed out for summer.

Update: 2022 – 01 – 25

In 2020 I sent Arwen off for training for 6 months. She returned after 3 with a pretty skin injury to her right rear hock. It took a year to fully treat and heal, and she will forever bear a 2″ x 3″ scar on just below the hock jock. Now that she’s healed, I’ve sent her to a different trainer to get the second set of 90 days. I look forward to her progress this year.

Here’s a video of her flag fear after a week of training:
