Tyche

I am welcomed Tyche to my little family in September of 2022. I knew the moment I saw her picture on Facebook she’d steal my heart in person. She’s a wonderfully bred, well feathered, gorgeous black, Gypsy Vanner. She was born on 3/1/22. I. She arrived midday September 4th, 2022. It took her a while to settle in but after a few months she really started to show her personality.

As a yearling, we started to work seriously on things like manners and patience, holding her to high expectations. June brought on training that includes careful obstacles and distractions like flags, noodles, tarps, and more. There may even be pinwheels in on the fun.

In late 2023 we started doing obstacle competitions. She really has come a very long way. I enjoy working on her. The next several months we’ll start working on alignment, and getting her ready to start accepting driving shafts. She has a hard time yielding on the hindquarter and backing in a straight line. She’s really great at the ‘pick up’ from a fence or mountain block, excellent at side passing, and always willing to try something new with curious confidence.
